My Story

. Born in a small town of Nowa Weis, Ukraine 28/10/1922
. Taken by the German army into forced labour in Germany to work on the railways
. Met and married Olga Dubniak, also taken from her family in Ukraine, in 1946
. Had two children Slav and Bogdan
. At the end of WW2 migrated to Australia and arrived in Port Melbourne 13/4/1949
. Spent time in Bonegilla and Rushworth where a 3rd son Peter was born.
.Settled in Deer Park where he built his home with the help of friends.
. Bogdan died from leukemia 8/6/1952
.Worked most of his life as a factory worker at ARC, Albion.
. Retired from ARC after 30+ years
. Wife, Olga Nasarczyk died 10/7/2007 in Sutton Park Nursing Home
. Wasyl survived colon and lung cancers for several years
. Went to the Benlynne Nursing home 9/7/2010
. Grandchildren  - Mark,Melanie,Andrew & Jason
. Great grandchildren - James,Emma & Adam. Lawrence was born shortly after his death.
. Died 26/3/2011 from lung cancer complications
. A devoted family man whom will be missed by all.......
